Yay, vegan food is becoming really popular in Amsterdam! Vegan lunchrooms are popping up everywhere in the Dutch capital. Koffie Ende Koeck, however, has been a pilar of the vegan food community from the very start. Way back when ‘vegan’ was still considered ‘extremist’, ‘incredibly alternative’ or downright ‘rabbitfood’, Maartje was already baking the best vegan pies, crumbles & cakes.
If you’re looking for an inspiring vegan lunchroom in Amsterdam, Koffie Ende Koeck should definitely be on your list!
Where to Find the Best Vegan Food in Amsterdam?
Vegan food in Amsterdam…Where to grab the juiciest veggie burger, find the best hummus & eat out for under a tenner. You’ll find it all in this elaborate guide to the best vegan Amsterdam has to offer!
I’ve listed ALL the vegan venues I could find to give you guys the most thorough list to choose from. As you can tell Amsterdam has recently caught the “vegan bug” so more and more vegan food venues are opening up.

Vegan Squatters Cafes are marked CYAN
Vegan Grab ‘n Go Bars are marked PINK
It was a lot of work looking up all these awesome vegan food venues, forging it all into a readable blogpost & designing the corresponding map but I’m incredibly happy with the final results!
I hope this post will help you discover all awesome vegan friendly venues the Dutch capital has to offer. Enjoy the vegan food in Amsterdam when you’re stopping by!

The perfect shop in Amsterdam (and Utrecht) to buy some fashionable gifts for your friends! Which girl wouldn’t want something from ‘All The Luck In The World‘?
Former founders of the notorious Trouw opened De School just this year. Just like Trouw this venue is not only an international nightclub but also a restaurant and cafe. Restaurant Trouw was always famous for it’s high focus on veggies so I was delighted to hear that the food at De School would also serve us vega(n)’s well… Excited to see what all the fuzz is about? Check out this sneak peek of luncharea Cafe de School!
All you thrift shop fanatics pay attention! This hotspot in Amsterdam East is just the thing for you. Emporium of Wonders is a relatively new collective which houses the selected assembly of several local creatives… Here you can find anything your thrift-shop-loving heart desires, be it fashionable garments, furniture, handmade accessories or general curiosa. Heck, you can even sign up for a yoga class!

Yay, another vegan friendly hotspot near my residence! Bar Basquiat recently opened in Amsterdam East. With so many cool new places popping up in the Javastraat you can really tell Amsterdam East is an up and coming neighbourhood. Although Bar Basquiat isn’t an all vegan lunchroom they’ve got loads of veggie options and with just a few adjustments and a little help from the friendly staff you can easily turn a vegetarian lunch option to a vegan dish <3
Winter is coming! That means more film tips, recipes and hotspot articles on this blog. So why not start with a lunchroom I’ve been meaning to write about ever since it first opened over a year ago. Of course I’m talking about vegan lunchroom DopHert!
Today is the day: I’m going to share with you the very first time I’ve worn designer clothes! As you may know I do a lot of thrift shopping and tend to go for vintage or second hand items which I combine with some new pieces. As a student, designer clothes are (unfortunately) a bit above my pay check…. My friend Dennis however, let me in on a little secret: De Ruilhoek, one of the first second hand shops in Amsterdam, has opened a webshop where they sell the designer pieces they receive for a reasonable price!

In case you haven’t noticed yet: I love animals. And by love I mean L O V E. I’m the kind of person that’ll ask to pet your dog when passing each other in the street and go into a full blown half hour long cuddle session. As you can imagine I was more than a little excited to hear my lovely city Amsterdam would soon be home to it’s very own cat cafe! Want to know more about Kattencafe Kopjes and it’s lovely residents? Hit the ‘continue reading’ button! Slight warning: this post contains an excessive amount of cute cat photos.
To keep my hair red and luscious I obviously have to dye it frequently. Finding cruelty free professional hair dye can be quite a quest so when the shop which sold me my hair dye closed I found myself at Google page 3 at the most extreme of times. Regrowth was becoming unbearable so I decided to go to a Salon. PH Haarstudio in the city centre of Amsterdam uses only cruelty free hair products such as Kevin Murphy and Natulique so that’s where I went!
